Restoration

Both time and elements are photographs, slides & negatives worst enemy, especially when they haven’t been stored properly. Age alone can cause scratches, folds, tears, fading, and extreme color changes. Water and mold damage can cause them to dissolve or stick together, bleed, weaken, and stain. With restoration you can return your damaged precious keepsakes back to near perfect condition.

Our restoration services can repair rips and tears, recreate missing pieces, restore faded colors, re-balance exposure, and repair damage from water, fire, light, or mold. We can retouch photos and negatives upon request for things like teeth whitening or editing out skin blemishes. We can also colorize Black & White photos!

Our Restoration Process

1

Organize & Prepare Your Images

  • Gather & Organize: Gather and organize your image(s) that you would like restored. Organize them chronologically, by event, or any order you like. If you would like to have your image(s) custom-named, have them labeled with the name you want for each image.

  • Photo Prep: Remove any items attached to your image(s) that could damage them during scanning, such as paperclips, staples, rubber bands, adhesive tape, glitter, or glue. Gently peel off any corner tabs or protective sleeves that might be stuck to the image(s). We cannot scan any image(s) that are glued into albums. If you would like those scanned, please remove them and clean off the glue or adhesive backing.

  • Flatten Out:  If your image(s) are curled or bent, gently place them under a heavy book for a few hours to flatten them out. This will ensure the best possible scan quality.

2
