Old video tapes are a wonderful way to embrace nostalgia. Weather it's reliving family events or simply enjoying a walk down memory lane, digitizing your home collection is the best way to preserve your precious memories. Video tapes can deteriorate over time leading to color bleed, white specks, and other distortions. Our service ensures that your special moments are made into everlasting memories to be enjoyed for lifetimes to come.
Our standard video transfer service includes taking VHS or VHS-C tapes and convert them to digital MP4 files at the same resolution as the original recording, so there is no loss of quality. Most consumer video tapes including VHS and VHS-C have a Standard Definition Resolution of 720×480 with a 4:3 aspect ratio. MP4 files are smaller than raw files, universal to both PCs and Macs, easy to upload/share, and are fully editable. Once each tape is converted in its entirety the footage is reviewed for quality and blank spaces are trimmed. Each video file is custom-named to match the labels on your VHS or VHS-C tapes, however you can also provide how you want your tapes labeled if you already have them organized in a specific manner.
Additionally, we offer the ability to create playable DVDs for your home videos. All DVDs include custom menus and storage sleeves. We can convert each tape to its own DVD or combine multiple tapes onto a single DVD (depending on the amount of hours on each tape), creating a custom chapter for each movie. We also offer the ability to have your movies saved onto a USB Flash Drive. Most smart TVs have a USB port on them so you can simply plug a flash drive into them to watch your digitized home movies.

Organize & Prepare Your Video Tapes
- Gather & Organize: Gather and organize your video tapes. Organize them chronologically, by event, or any order you like. If you would like to have them custom-named, have your videotapes properly labeled with the name you want or provide a document with how you would like them labeled.

Schedule a Pick-up
- Schedule a pick-up date/time that works with your schedule using our online booking system.
- During booking please fill out the questionnaire listing your estimated quantity of videotapes you would like transferred. This will help us provide you with a quote listing the estimated price and time it will take us to complete your order.
- Retainer: A $50 refundable retainer is required during booking to hold your place in the que. This retainer will be applied towards your final order total.

- We will start transferring your videotapes to MP4 files.

Enjoy & Share Your Memories
- Once all your videotapes have been transferred, we will send you an invoice for payment of the completed services.
- After payment has been received, you will be emailed a link containing your preserved memories.
- Your link will remain active for 45 days to be able to share or download your videos.

Schedule a Delivery
- After you have viewed and are satisfied with your new preserved memories we will coordinate a date/time with you to deliver your precious keepsakes.
- If you added a USB Flash Drive(s) or Playable DVD(s) for your videos to be stored on, they will be provided to you during this time.

How long will my digitized videos be available to download?
The link to your digitized videos will remain available for 45 days for you to be able to share and download.
If I'm not in the Greensboro or surrounding areas could I mail you my video tapes?
Absolutely! If you are outside my normal service area for pick-up/delivery, we might be able to work something out depending on distance. Otherwise, you have the option to mail your video tapes to us if you are too far away.
